Proud mommies be prepared for tagging!

ALL THE PROUD MOMMYS: Fill this out!
-Age of baby/babies?3 years 3 months, and 1 year 6 months

-Names?
Wyatt Ryan and Garrett Edward

-Birthdays?Wyatt-May 29, 2005 Garrett-February 25, 2007

-Time of birth?Wyatt-5:28 PM, Garrett-6:45 AM

-How long did labor last?
Wyatt-18 hours, Garrett-6 hours

-How long did you push?Wyatt-1 1/2 hours, Garrett- about two or three pushes, so like 8 minutes.

-How much did your baby(ies)weigh?Wyatt-8lbs 2oz, Garrett-7lbs, 6oz

-Any hair?
They both had a head full of dark brown hair. Not tons, but a head of it.

-Who does your baby(ies)look Like? Both of my boys look exactly like their daddy in different ways. Wyatt is the exact copy of Ryan now, but Garrett looks a lot like Ry as a younger version. But they look a lot like each other as well.

-Be honest...how much weight did you gain? With Wyatt I gained 18 pounds, and with Garrett 12 pounds. But I'm sure if I hadn't puked my guts out the entire 9 months with both of them it would have been a lot more!

-Was baby(ies)early or late? Both boys were two weeks early. Wyatt was 14 days early, and Garrett 15 days early.

-How many baby showers did you have?2 they were both with Wyatt, none with Garrett

-Did you breastfeed?Yes, both boys for 5 months each, I would have done it longer if I could have, but too many surgeries and drugs means sick babies.

-Who keeps your baby(ies) the most?I do mostly, Ryan & I too when he's home, and if we need a sitter, usually our parents take them.

-When do you wanna have another? We're planning for sometime in the next year or so.

-How did you know it was time to go the hospital?
My water broke both times, I was at the hospital the first time with Wyatt because they had been attempting to stop labor but that changed plans, but with Garrett I was at home alone, just me and Wyatt because Ry was working grave-yards then, so I got up changed cloths ect... and drove myself to the hospital. Ryan met me there a couple of hours after I got there.

-Anyone spend the night with you first night home?Nope, neither time, just me and Ry with Wyatt, and just me Ry, and Wyatt with Garrett. We had lots of visitors throughout the weeks though.

-Did you cry the first time you held your baby(ies)?
I don't think so... I think I was too ecstatic both times, but I could be wrong... I don't remember.

- Who cut the cord(s)?
Ryan

-Where was the baby(ies)born?
Wyatt-Portneuf Medical in Poky, and Garrett-Bingham Memorial in Blackfoot, I don't think I'd ever have another baby anywhere else then Bingham though WAY better experience!

-Did you record the labor?
Heck no! Although it seems like there were enough people there to witness that it really wouldn't make a difference either way! Ha!

Sometimes there not always as you expect.

Kids are so funny. I especially think that mine are funny, brilliant, adorable, you know pretty much the cutest kids ever born, but then again I am very biased, and I am sure you all think the same of yours! It just cracks me up on how they never do what you expect them to! Since the day I found out I was pregnant for the first time, I knew my kids would never have a love for the things I cherish most. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love music in any form. I am an avid musical lover as well as classical music, alternative, country, r&b, pretty much most forms of music. It has always moved me how much you can express through music. While I was was pregnant with Wyatt I was involved in several music groups, and church singing activities. Ryan and I are seriously living proof that opposites attract because we are completely and utterly different in our passions in life. He is an avid sports enthusiast, and is very gifted in physical activities. I on the other hand always loved to dance, but am a serious marshmallow. I am the thorn in the side of any sport! I am seriously athletically challenged! So since we only have boys I naturally assumed that they would be just like their daddy in the sense of interests. Much to my surprise and Ryan's, Wyatt has proved to far to very much follow in the footsteps of his mother! It really cracks me up because he is built like a line backer! He is only three and wears 5t or an extra smally size in the young boys section. He is more than half my height and weighs 45 pounds! He's not chubby anymore, and is a skinny little whelp, but man you pick that kid up and he is solid! Any here he is my husband's little line backer singing show tunes with his mama! Ha ha! He loves musicals, and any movie that has a lot of music! I guess there's no saying what he will do in the future, I'm sure he'll love both because Ryan is such an athletic guy, but it really amuses me that Wyatt so far shares my passion for music! I'd like to think that it's because I sang so much while prego, and I sing to my kidos all the time to, but who knows! And the really funny thing is that Garrett is the exact polar opposite! He likes music, and dancing, but he loves sports! He loves balls of any kind, and throws EVERYTHING! It drives me absolutely bananas! He already knows the difference between a football, basketball, and baseball! He also loves golf as well! This little 1 year old boggles my mind! I'm anxious to see what there interests will end up being in a few years?! And also very interested to see if we ever do have a girl what she'll be interested in. Well I just hope there all very well rounded, and with parents like Ry and I, it seems like they will be!

The Dawn has finally broken...

It has been a while since my last post, and I am now prepared to give the explanation for my absence...We have been very busy here at the Archibald home as of late! First of all I got the privilege of tending two of my very favorite people for the week! My niece Madison and nephew Benjamin! I cannot even express to you how much I love these two! I have always had a strong bond with Madi, but I was so excited to be able to strengthen the one between Ben and myself as well! Krista and Brian were off to extend there knowledge of ballroom dance to teach to their students, so I got to extend my knowledge of my niece and nephew! I am so proud of the little girl my niece is turning into! Independent, strong-willed, beautiful, loving, and protective of all those she cares for, even those she barley knows! I am just so proud, and amazed by her! I sometimes have a hard time believing she is only 6 because in so many ways she is much older! I was also so grateful for the time I had to get to know Benj more! He is 5 weeks younger than Garrett, and Kris and Brian live 5 hours away so I haven't had a lot of time or money to get to know him as well as I would have liked to! But this week was like heaven for me! I will admit that I was rather nervous originally for this exchange with Benj, he doesn't know me well, and he has never been apart from his mom for more than a couple of hours, but he surprised me greatly! I can't believe how smart this little boy is! He know so much sign language! Or course half the time I had no idea what he wanted, but he was very patient with my ignorance! He is so silly too! He and Garrett are a force to be reckoned with while together let me tell you! What one can't accomplish the other can! I also LOVED the opportunity I got to do girlie things, and girlie hair with Madi! I know it seems so trivial, but I am a complete and utter girl to the core, and I often feel like my boys will lack a lot of manly emotions, ect with me as their mother! Poor boys! Ha! I do love them dearly though so I hope that counts for what I lack! Anyway this week was so so busy! On one of the days that Madi and Benj were spending with their grandparents I took the boys to the zoo with my very best friend Deni and her boys! It was a lot of fun! All the boys were so tuckered out by the end of the day! They had such a great time! Then on Friday night being the total nerd I am Ry, the kids and I headed up to Idaho Falls for the book release party for Breaking Dawn! After about 10:30 the kids were all asleep for the most part in the car with Ryan and I got in line for my purchase! I stayed up reading most of that night and morning! I was so tired the next day! I am one of those people who definitely need their sleep to function! So annoying! Ha! Anyway I have finally finished the book and my niece and nephew are safely home with their parents! I cannot even express to you how much I love the Twilight book series, and this final book of Bella's perspective did not disappoint in the least! In fear of giving too much away to those of you who haven't yet finish, or started the book yet I won't give my full review just yet! But I have to say I feel like I have been waiting for this book to come and end my agony at not knowing the rest of the story, and all my hope, fears, and joys in the series were not disappointed with the outcome! Stephanie never ceases to amaze me with her skill of drawing one in and making them care for her characters. I feel like Edward, Bella, Jacob, Alice and the others are very close friends of mine, and I cared just as much for their happiness as Stephanie does! What a great author! Now before I sound like too much of a freak for loving the characters in a book so much I'll be off! I'll post some pictures later, but right now I'm going to go take a much needed nap! I hope you all enjoy the book as much as I did!
